I posted this and another issue together but that is causing problems so I am posting this issue seperately.
Start,control panel,security,backup my computer, "Create a repair disc".
The cd burns into three files but will not open or function.
I am having a boot manager failure error also but am tryying to keep them seperarely.

If these are repair discs then most likely they are a boot disc which is only accessible on a reboot.
Did you try to put the first disc in and boot your system up? Is your cdrom the first boot device in the bios?
What program did you use to make the discs?

End of thread is that the boot manager issue was fixed by using the recovery dvds that I created when I got the machine.
This was Terry's advice.
All set now and thank you.
PS
I noticed that hard drive is third in boot order behind diskette and cd if that make s any diference. Seems to boot right up and I can change it with F12 to boot from cd when I need to. Should I use F2 and place hard first or leave it?
