My wife's computer (x64; Windows 97; Dell Studio xps; 1.5 yrs old) has some virus. Microsoft malware removal identified Trojan A, but I did not get the full name because shortly after I got the report result and clicked on the hyperlink in the report, the computer crashed and now it will not allow the computer to boot. If I go into safe mode, it will do a memory dump right after I type in her password. If I run in nomral mode it goes to a solid pinstripe or blank screen and won't do anything further. It will not even allow a crash rescue disc to run (although it ran the first time I tried it, but was unsuccessful in removing the virus). I can't get into the system to run any malware. Is all lost?

Windows 97
