1. Description

I haven't had to be here for along time! But I got a new laptop about three weeks ago. While moving things to the new PC, I must have allowed something bad to happen.

My email - Removed which is kind of a yahoo account, but it's a premium one that is managed by AT&T - started sending SPAM. AT&T shut down account, and I had to change the password. But the address started sending SPAM again last night. It always sends at about 3 AM. I tried to change the password again and the password changing page sends me to AT&T U-verse screens. I created an authentication badge at Yahoo - and it does not appear when I try to change passwords. SO I figure, even if I cahnge passwords, there is something on my PC that is capturing the new one and initiating the spam. Does that make sense?

I did have email access from facebook and goodreads allowed. I turned that off.

Here is the web address that I am sent to when I try to change passwords. https://uversecentral3.att.com/static/inter…entry_point=pwd

I can't seem to get access to AT&T help either - it sends me into a loop, and frankly AT&T help is SO BAD, they probably can't help me anyway.

Also, this redirect happens on both MS Explorer and Firefox.

The new PC has Norton, and I've always had McAfee - maybe I didn't set up the Norton correctly. I keep on getting emails from Norton saying that I haven't initiated it, but when I go in there, Norton says it IS set up.

Thanks in advance! Sara

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Vista and Windows 7 users:
1. These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe) every time you run them
2. With Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post.
