5/19/11 So far so Dry, the waters are moving slowly, due to what they said last night, we are in a severe drought and the ground is soaking up all the water. But it will get here later and mabey not at all or the high levels they were talking about. Jimbo1
always makes me smile when they say you are in a drought, but when you look out the window all you see is water.. fingers still crossed that you stay nice and dry jimbo1. ;)
Well as of Today the rivers have crested and holding steady, the flood gates at the Morganza Spillway are closing off and needed, so far out of 15 bays open they have closed 5. For me the water has not reached us, most because of the drought were having here, a bad one but its in our favor because the grounds have been soaking up the water and slowing down the flow of water to use, the flood stage crest have been lower 5 times so far. Now the waiting game plays out the water level at the Mississippi River to my east of the house will hold this for 3 weeks before a slow fall. Just a wait and see now. Jimmy
The flood gates at the Morganza Spillway are closed, The ones in New Orleans are closing up, water level has dropped 4 feet, were out of the woods now. Still dry and Really hot highs hitting 98+ each day, little rain now. Thanks for all the thoughts. Was no need to build an ark. Jimbo1
