Whew I am whipped fixing my porch calling it a day. It's already 90F here south of Baton Rouge Louisiana and it's only the 2ND week of May, July or August is not even here yet, bad enough drought of no rain for over the last 37 days they say were are in a drought and yet were about to flood with the Mississippi River above the flood stage. The Levees can hold up to 50 feet but the river will crest at 48.6.

Hi Jimmy, I wonder if you could send us a bit of your 90F to this side of the pond….although its bright and sunny here it is just a degree or two above freezing! (or it was last night…) although its warming up a bit now!
next time don't worry about fixing your porch, build a pool instead. then you can make the most of the heat while staying nice and cool, don't forget a beer or two to go by the side.
I'll take some of that snow, finished up yesterday and today I am paying for it, we also had to go repair the roof of the church, it was so hot and not joking the other guy that was working with us, the bottom of his shoe melted. I am serious it really melted up on the roof.
Yeah, I know Jimbo1…. Life can be demanding for a Preacher-Man, as illustrated below:
The Preacher was high on a scaffolding painting the last of the white siding of the beautiful church.
Problem was…. he was running short of paint and really didn't want to climb all the way down to get more paint, and then climb all the way back up to finish the job properly.
Conveniently, he had a bottle of Gattorade with him, for his own refreshment.
He realized the Gattorade, if mixed with the white paint, could extend his supply sufficient to complete the job without climbing down and back up.
And since the area was so high up below the towering steeples, he was sure that no one from from his congregation would notice any quality difference.
With that plan he completed the paint job.
Just as he had climbed down from the scaffolding to admire his job, a sudden wind developed and thunderclouds formed overhead.
Rain poured down, streaking his paltry paint job, dooming him to do the entire job over.
Just as he was about to curse in frustration, a voice boomed out from the clouds, saying …..
"Repaint", and "thin" no more!

I am keeping this to use in opening one of my sermons, very good.
Is this Flooding situation going to affect you and your neighbors, directly?
Spillway along the bulging Mississippi River as early as Saturday and inundate thousands of homes and farms in parts of Louisiana's Cajun country to avert a potentially bigger disaster in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
We got the news this morning and they will open the gates at 3:00 pm. It will take about 6 days for what we call backwater flow into our area, now as far as the damage or how much we get flooded, were not sure of the extent. Taking measure now to get things out of the church and sand bagging to try and stop it, my home will be dry fro the most part if nothing else happens or unless the river does not crest.
God only knows and we will have to leave it into his hands.
Well today at 2:35 they open one gate, now the waters rise and now we wait to see how much we get hit, a sand boil popped up 6 miles north of us alone the missippis river, not to bad yet but the stress is building up, if this rips loose then this house will go under.
