Avast shuts down internet

Approximately two hours ago I began receiving a deluge of calls questioning why Avast web shield was popping up a malware blocked message and preventing several people from accessing sites such as google, aol, and comcast. Shorty after, Avast's update servers became unavailable. As of about ten minutes ago their servers have come back on-line and have been pushing out a new update subsequently fixing the problem. A manual update may get the system back on-line faster. Nice Avast. But, thanks for the quick response.

Well that explains the holloring from the folks I got this morning, Thanks for the heads up. Wounder if this is related to the big update from Microsoft today at 1:00 pm CST of its operating system?. Jimbo1
