I just purchased a new external HP DVD1270e and it won't read blank dvds. The drive will read all other media except blanks. I have tried Memorex DVD+R, TDK cds and HP DVD+R. The drive will not open any of the blanks. An error message pops up saying "E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect Function." The machine is a Dell desktop. Running Windows XP. I hooked the external drive to my laptop and it worked with all the media discs.
