Antivirus
As you are probably aware, if you use the Internet without an antivirus or firewall program your computer will certainly become infected again.
Either re-install AVG 2011 which is a very good free program, or download and install one of the following free antivirus programs:
• Free Avast Home Edition
• Avira AntiVir® Personal Edition Classic
NOTE: do not install more than one antivirus progam.
===================================================
Update Firefox & Thunderbird
Both programs are out-of-date; go here to get the latest updates.
===================================================
Set your computer to automatically check for Windows updates.
Click here for information on how to obtain the latest Windows updates.
===================================================
Update and run Malwarebytes. This really is an excellent program that you should update and run on a regular basis, probably weekly.
===================================================
I also recommend that you read the following:
“So how did I get infected in the first place”? by Tony Klein

Remember to keep updating all of the above programs to help your computer remains clean. You can never update too often and your computer will not be protected from new malware if your programs are not up-to-date.
