I have windows 7 home premium 64bit upgrade and wish to do a clean install and need help! I installed the upgrade and thought it worked but it ended up being a trial… I also have the disk of windows Xp home edition because i think you need it.
Only Windows Vista users will be able to do an in-place upgrade. This means that Windows XP or 2000 users will have to do a clean install of W7.

Meaning, you need a W7 OS disk.

Do you have a W7 disk? If you wish to install W7 64bit, make sure ALL your PC hardware is 64bit compatible (motherboard, video, sound,etc.).
In other words, make sure 64bit drivers are available, including drivers for any printer, scanner or anything else you might connect to your computer. If you don't know, you should find out now and preferably, download to disk all and any drivers that will be needed before going ahead with the OS install (whether you install 64bit or 32bit). The drivers are then on hand to install, immediately after a successful OS clean install.

If you have a W7 disk, go here:
