Very Slow Computer

CatByte I've completed the housekeeping tasks and all is well. Again, thank you so very much for your help. As one last thing, I plan to move to a Window's 7 machine in the near future and transfer my (now clean) files to that machine. Do you have any other recommendations for keeping a Window's 7 machine healthy or are all the ones the same as you gave me for this XP machine? excaliburrd1

No, it shouldn't, most programs will run on 64bit systems now. 64bit systems, at this time, are a lot harder to infect, how long that will remain the case is unknown.

That's a plus, a few years ago I'd heard horror stories about software not running with 64 bit but thought it had been improved. I wasn't aware that they are harder to infect. Thanks for all the info!
