:pullhair: Hi guys, yep back again but now I am in a turmoil as to what to do. I am at present looking at migrating to Australia, hence the need for a laptop to replace/take over my old desktop. ( Doug: the old girl is still pumping hard and no issues :) ) I have been searching for weeks to access specs etc on certain brands. This laptop will be used for all my everyday chores, banking, email and the likes till we have a new base, then I can upgrade my desktop. After that my Daughter will be needing a laptop for school so will pass down to her. One issue with being in New Zealand is the lack of good spec laptops which don't cost $3000+!!! My issue is this, I play an online mmorph game, and this game requires fast page loading. My Desktop can manage only 2-3sec to load, now I have tried a few laptops I3 and I5 and what a difference in page speed! The I5 was down to 1-1.5 sec. Does the graphics card play a role in loading? A friend of mine in game has and I5 and his speed is blistering fast, yes internet provider has a say in this I know. But I tried 3 different computers within a couple of minutes on my line…Hence I am happy it is not my provider throttling down. Now I have looked at these models of Asus that I can get in the $2000 and under mark. Also I wish to connect to my external monitor ( Viewsonic VA2026w) is this easy to do and yet still have decent resolution? Your thoughts on these models please :) Number 1: ASUS K72F TY043V - Core i5 430M 2.26 GHz - 17.3" TFT Dimensions (WxDxH) 42 cm x 28.1 cm x 3.7 cm Weight 3.3 kg System Type Notebook Built-in Devices Stereo speakers, wireless LAN aerial Processor Intel Core i5 430M / 2.26 GHz ( 2.53 MHz ) ( Dual-Core ) Cache Memory 3 MB - L3 Cache RAM 4 GB (installed) / 8 GB (max) - DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz ( 2 x 2 GB ) Card Reader 3 in 1 Hard Drive 320 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm Hard Drive (2nd) 320 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm Optical Storage DVD±RW / DVD-RAM Display 17.3" TFT 1600 x 900 - Color Shine Graphics Controller Intel HD Graphics Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0 Audio Output Sound card Networking Network adapter - Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n Notebook Camera Integrated - 0.3 Megapixel Input Device Keyboard, touchpad Power AC 120/230 V ( 50/60 Hz ) Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition  Number 2: Asus N61JV i5-430M, 4GB, 500GB, 16Inch, GT325M 1GB, DVD-SMD, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Model Number: N61JV-JX002V Specifications: • CPU: Intel Dual Core i5-430M (2.26GHz, turbo up to 2.53GHz, 3MB) • Memory: 2*2GB DDR3 1066 RAM • Hard Drive: 500GB/5400RPM • Video: NV GT325M 1GMB DDR3 VRAM • Monitor: 16" Colourshine HD (1366*768) • Audio: High-performance SRS Dolby Altec-Lansing speakers • DVD-SMD • Wireless Network: 802.11b/g/n • Wired Network: 10/100/1000LAN • WebCam: 1.3MP Webcam • Power: 65W Adaptor • Battery: 6cell 5600mAh • Bluetooth: Bluetooth V2.1+EDR • HDMI • Express Gate+ • USB3 + soft palm rest + Numeric Keyboard • Multi-touchpad • Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, • 2 Year Global Warranty  Number 3 ASUS K72JK TY005V - Core i5 430M 2.26 GHz - 17.3" TFT Dimensions (WxDxH) 42 cm x 28.1 cm x 3.7 cm Weight 3.3 kg System Type Notebook Built-in Devices Stereo speakers, wireless LAN aerial Processor Intel Core i5 430M / 2.26 GHz ( 2.53 GHz ) ( Dual-Core ) Cache Memory 3 MB - L3 Cache RAM 4 GB (installed) / 8 GB (max) - DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz ( 2 x 2 GB ) Card Reader 3 in 1 Hard Drive 500 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm Hard Drive (2nd) 500 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm Optical Storage DVD±RW / DVD-RAM Display 17.3" TFT 1600 x 900 Graphics Controller ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145 Video Memory 1 GB DDR3 SDRAM Audio Output Sound card Networking Network adapter - Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n Notebook Camera Integrated - 0.3 Megapixel Input Device Keyboard, touchpad Power AC 120/230 V ( 50/60 Hz ) Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition :smack: Number 4 ASUS N71JQ-TY022X Core-i7 720QM, 4GB ,17.3LED, 640GB, , Blue Ray COMBO, HD5730M/1G, 11N, BT, WIN7PRO64B .
