I've had unauthorized access to my Gmail account. I use a password that is entered using a one-key jump cipher. I change it on a bi-weekly basis, if not more frequently. Due to the complexity of the password required to achieve unauthorized access to my Gmail account, I can only conclude that there may be a keylogger installed on my laptop that is periodically reporting to a remote FTP server (or something similar). Below I have attached a hijackthis log file. startuplist.txt files are available upon request. Any assistance in identifying a keylogger on my laptop would be greatly appreciated.
Hello cammie77,

Welcome to WTT.

You may have used Malwarebytes before. If you have, and still have it on your machine, please update and run. Post the scan report back here.

If you do not have Malwarebytes please download from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

    netsvcs
    drivers32
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.*
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /180
    %systemroot%system32Spoolprtprocsw32x86*.dll
    %systemroot%system32user32.dll /md5
    %systemroot%system32ws2_32.dll /md5
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so.
o When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
o Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post back here.
So when you return please post
  • MBAM log
  • the two OTL logs - OTL.txt and Extras.txt

Note: Unless otherwise instructed always post the logs in the forum. If reports don't fit on one post. It might be necessary to break the logs up to get them on the forum. Just use as many posts as you need, that's fine. :)
