I'm not so sure this issue is finished. I still am having bad issues on Firefox and so after you mentioned it, I'm afraid to go do System Restore until I get an all clear, again. Can you please help me?
Have you tried to disable all the add-ons you found in Firefox as I mentioned earlier? Allow me to readdress the problem, your Firefox wouldn't allow you to click any links on any web pages and it doesn't load the site fully at all? Your IE and AOL is working as intended, am I correct? Is that your only problem? In regards to your title, your AV is working properly back now?
I don't know how to find the add-ons in Firefox. Plus I am still getting that error message on most all webpages when I use the AOL browser. Because we don't want to reinfect the computer, I can't create a restore point, yet.
Please disable all the add-ons you have on Firefox and restart your browser.
Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions tab highlight any add-ons you see -> click disable

Have a look at the screenshot, do you see the Disable button there? Disable every single one of them.

As far I as I remember, you said the error message for ActiveX only pops up in IE, what error message you getting for AOL?

OK, I found that. There are only 3 things there. 2 of them are AVG security toolbar and AVG search. The last one is MS.NETFramework Assistant 1.1 and appears to be disabled.

NO, I am not getting those error messages in MSIE. I only get them when I am on the net with AOL or even when my AOL signs online and the main pages come up. Not MSIE, AOL.

MSIE is fine. No problems on there.

What error message are you getting for AOL?

Even though this says Windows Internet Explorer, it only happens on AOL, not on IE

Windows Internet Explorer

One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:

1 Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or

2 You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

As a result, the page may not display correctly.
