Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Explorer keeps telling me it cannot display web pages. I have had the router and line checked by at&t and they say it is fine. I uninstalled explorer and then used chrome to re-install and still the same problem. I am a at&t u-verse broadband user. HELP!!! It does the same thing sometimes with chrome but not as frequent as explorer. Thanks!! James
