McAfee researchers in the report "2010 Threat Predictions" said that Adobe's Acrobat Reader and Flash applications will surpass Microsoft's Office applications as the code of choice for cyber criminals in 2010.

Adobe Reader is among the most widely deployed application in the world.

15th January 2010 -Security bulletin

Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Adobe Reader 9.2 and Acrobat 9.2. and earlier versions. These vulnerabilities could cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

Adobe recommends users of Adobe Reader 9.2 and Acrobat 9.2 and earlier versions update to Adobe Reader 9.3 and Acrobat 9.3. For Adobe Reader users who cannot update to Adobe Reader 9.3, Adobe has provided the Adobe Reader 8.2 update.
