Hi, i'm Amari and i'm new to forums, this being my first…unfortunately it took a problem for me to begin. The problem is that i can't access AVG website and Microsoft…..sometimes Google (my homepage) and other websites. I access the said websites and then it says

"Sorry, we couldn't find http://free.avg.com/. Here are some related websites"
"Sorry, we couldn't find http://www.microsoft.com/. Here are some related websites"

The strangest thing is….i did a complete recovery on my laptop to escape this and another problem, fortunately the other problem subsided but this hasn't. Can anyone please help me? I've googled the problem so much, searching online for so long that my fingers hurt (That and i've lost a day that i supposed to be working on some storyboards)

If anyone can help, please don't hold back, i don't bite. Oh and i'm a complete newbie, bear that in mind and go easy on me if i come out with rather silly questions.
I hope i learn alot and turn this misfortunate experience into a valuable one.

(Oh, how do i post my hkey, listing all the softwares?)
Thank you so much

Amari
Greetings. What browser are you using and have you tried a different one to see if the issue persists? For example if you are using IE try Firefox or Google Chrome to see if the same behavior crosses different browsers.
Hi thanks for replying, I used IE and Firefox and both had the same problems, I'm not sure what the persisting problem is, it's very strange as i've never had ths problem before. I used superanti-spyware and it doesn't do anything, neither does ad-adware. I'm left completely stumped. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
Thanks, i tried that too before and again just now but sadly that didn't work… Man oh man computers are such a headache, i can live without visiting these websites but i shouldn't really have to compromise right?
There's a possibility you may be infected with the Google redirect virus

Please follow the steps outlined here first

Then post a new topic in our infections removal forum:

If it turns out you are not infected, then post back here and out expert techs can look at other options.
