Hi, I need some help. I am trying to fix a buddies computer who has clicked on something that wants hime to down load a virus scanner. The above title has shown up as well as "braxia" I believe. He is running Symantec Antivirus. It tells him to update the defintiions, which I have done, turn off restore, which I have done, and run the virus scan in safemode, which I have done. It is still infected. Now when I reboot the machine, I get the following message: C:/windows/system32/doziwute.dll The Specified module could not be found I'm not sure what to do next except look for a download of some sort to help out with the problem. I am able to download to my computer and then have him execute from there if need be. Thanks,

The first thing to note is that it is NOT advised to disable System Restore until the PC is clean. If something goes pear-shaped, System Restore may save your bacon, and while restoring an infected point will reintroduce whatever infections are present, better that than a borked PC that doesn't run at all.
