Hi everyone,

Anyone out there with experience of NAV2009 issues?
Have been running NAV2009 for 2/3 years with no major issues but during past few days I keep getting the "Microsoft has encountered an error" pop up displaying. It says "Symantec Service Framework" has encountered a problem" and then gives the option to send a Report or not.

I have not added to or changed anything on my PC recently that would be causing this problem. We the error message displays my system slows down significantly and the NAV program seems to stop running.

I've contacted the Symantec Support team and all they have done so for is remove NAV2009 and then do a clean reinstall of it. That helped things for a few hours but then the smae error message is appearing again now!

Any ideas please?

Vinylman :o

Thanks Paws, I'll try that one straight away - hoping it will fix things bit will let you know the outcome. BTW the Support guy at Symantec told me the issue was being caused by me having multiple versions of the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on my PC?? So I have added this one already as another separate post on the "Windows" forum I don't feel convinced about what he said but worth checking. In the meantime I'll see if that Symantec Fix works for me. Cheers and thanks again, vinylman
Hi paws, The fix has definitely worked - no reoccurance at all since it used it. Still don't understand why the Support team at Symantec didn't guide me to it when it's obviously a known issue!! Great that you turned it up for me! Many thanks again. vinylman :woot:
Hi vinylman,
Thanks for the feedback.

Still don't understand why the Support team at Symantec didn't guide me to it when it's obviously a known issue!!

The fix that I posted was "straight from the developer" it was so brand spanking new that most folks were not even aware of its existence!
Regards
paws
