Hi Folks, I am a old member and I got hijacked again. This time is a doosy. I have a DSL connection and when I try to do a search the first thing is the explorer is opened to fulldotfinds.com, and then a second tab opens to my att/yahoo location. Then when I do a search, the search is completed but when I click on one of the search results I am then sent to windowsclick.com and some web site not even related to the search. The computer will lockup randomly and the only solution is to punch the reset botton on the computer and do a hot start. The computer will on its own shut down the explorer with no warning and go to the desktop. I downloaded the new hijack this program and cannot get it to install, also I cannot update any of my other programs. I happen to have a old version of Hijack this and managed to create a file which I cannot attach due to error not permitted to upload this type of file now what? Thanks Lynn
You could try System Restore. 1. Click Start. 2. Point to All Programs. 3. Point to Accessories. 4. Point to System Tools. 5. Click System Restore. 6. Follow the instructions on the wizard. See if you can find a date the the PC worked.
The recovery was contaminated too. I seemed to solve it by downloading combofix and running it . It found the files that were hidden and let me delete them. I was aware of the file names but could not find them. Thanks
