Hi everybody. I'm tired of being hijacked.
No matter how many times I reset my home page, I'm always being led to: www.find-online.net.
Worse of all, I cannot access my hotmail account anymore: When typing in user name and password, I'm always led to a "Search for" page.
I tried Ad-aware as well as Spyboy-Search & Destroy, but no luck.
I' begging for help!

Download FxAgentB.exe from here and save it to your desktop. After downloading, double-click the FxAgentB file to run it and the program will scan your entire hard drive - this may take a while. When it is done, it will generate a log file called FxAgentB.log - save that information as you will need to paste it here later. Reboot when done.

Next click here to download CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom and run it, hit 'fix' as opposed to 'scan only'. If you already have CWShredder, click 'Check for update' and make sure you are running version 1.59.1. Reboot when done.

Then click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done, rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here, together with the FxAgentB log

Thanks for your advice, which led to the following results:

Backdoor.Agent.B has not been found on your computer.


2. CWShredder removed the following items from my system:
- CWS.Searchx
- 7 infected IE registry values
- CWS affiliate: iedll


3. Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.05 removed 104 objects.

5. Footnote: Whenever I log off (to reboot or shut down), the message "End Program Win Min" appears followed by "This program is not responding". Only after clicking on "End Now" I can log off. I have no clue what "Win Min" is.

I forgot to mention that I CAN access my hotmail account after receiving help from you. However, my home page is still hijacked and leads me to: www.find-everything.com

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

I tried to send you the zhelp file with hotmail, but I could not attach it. Hotmail says it contains a virus, and therefore cannot be sent. I just saw that the application dates from October 14, 2004, day on which all troubles described in this thread started.

I deleted the "zhelp" file and disabled the hidden files and folders. Everything is running smoothly now. Wonderful! Thank you so much for your help! Never thought that this mess could be cleaned up so quickly. Sunny greetings from HK. Cheers! ;)
