i was trying to update my webcam but my USB is always unrecognized so i tried downloading it off the net, restarted a few times and still no changes. i got mad and turned the PC of holding down the power button i come back and i cant get onto windows it gets stuck on bios were it says press f2 for setup press tab for this bla bla bla so i leave it thinking it will go to windows but it goes to command promt and tells me to Press any key to boot from CD , or reboot to go to setup. i checked my bios seetttings and i think everything is fine not sure thou. so i clicked on default settings on bios saved and quit but i still get the same problem. is there any way i got go into the harddrive and get my files out not even safe mode comes up. or any way i can get into safemode, someone once told me to use Umbunto to get files from laptops but thas only for laptops is there one for PC?

You need to work on your patience. Remember, a computer is a tool that allows you to do the wrong thing more quickly than you could do it by hand

Try running chkdsk as described in this WTT tip, see if that fixes it for you: How to run chkdsk from the Recovery Console

new findings it can not find my HARDDRIVE for some REASON what eva i tried updating which was my USB port it killed my HARDDRIVE I THINK , as on bios it says primary master IDE not found. but before i load bios it comes up as 00 USB MASS STORAGE CONFIGUERD.

basically my hard drive chips just over heated which made the harddrive unusable but thanks anyways bought a new HD and re formating
