Unable to open microsoft websites

Lately i have noticed that i m unable to view any Microsoft websites… i have tried IE 7, the MSG is "INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE" I have tried Firefox as well the MSG is " ADDRESS NOT VALID".. and i m not able to ping any of the websites…. recently i came across to this trend micro online scanner and i tried tat as well but it is unable to visit that website as well….
