I am having a strange problem. my download stops at 98%. I have tried IE7 to IE6 and then to IE8, uninstalled KIS , then dwnload manager but of no use. The download stops at 98%.With IE no exe files gets download, but whereas with FF atleast download is initiated but it stops @98%. Pls advise

Your difficulty may be related to the specific website and its host IPS. Have you attempted downloads from other sites? For instance, are you able to download and install Microsoft updates. (If you are running windows) You may benefit from asking a friend with a well protected machine, attempt the same download and compare results with you. or You may send me a PM if you wish, with the URL to the download that fails. I'll check it out from here to see if the difficulty is specific to that site. If not specific to the site, then your browser may have an add-on that is blocking. You can consider FF - SAFE Mode. or Internet Explorer - No Addons Doug
