I am having a strange problem. my download stops at 98%. I have tried IE7 to IE6 and then to IE8, uninstalled KIS , then dwnload manager but of no use. The download stops at 98%.With IE no exe files gets download, but whereas with FF atleast download is initiated but it stops @98%.

Have you attempted downloads from other sites?
For instance, are you able to download and install Microsoft updates. (If you are running windows)
You may benefit from asking a friend with a well protected machine, attempt the same download and compare results with you.
