Hi,

It is certainly sounding more like a hardware issue than malware related.

Please run a fresh DDS log and I'll see if there is any remaining malware.

I'll give you the instructions again here, so you don't have to wade back through all the pages.

Please download DDS from LINK 1 or LINK 2
and save it to your desktop.

  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.pif to run the tool.
  • When done, two DDS.txt's will open.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please include the contents of the following in your next reply:

DDS.txt
Attach.txt.
Ok…. On a side note, I'm noticing the redirects on Google are happening AGAIN on my laptop…. please advise……………….
If all these computers are on the same network or you are using USB's between them all, the infection may be getting passed around again.

Please run Flash Disinfector and MalwareBytes Antimalware on all the computers and flush your DNS

1. Flash Disinfector

Download Flash_Disinfector.exe from HERE and save it to your desktop.

  • Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear.
  • The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.
  • Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
  • Reboot your computer when done.

2. MalwareBytes

  • Please open your MalwareBytes AntiMalware Program
  • Click the Update Tab and search for updates
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <– very important
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

3. Flush DNS

Please do the following:
  • Go to Start > Run > type: cmd
  • Press OK or Hit Enter.
  • At the command prompt, type or copy/paste: ipconfig /flushdns (note the space between “..g /f…” it needs to be there)
  • Hit Enter.
  • You will get a confirmation that the flush was successful.
  • Close the command box.
  • You will see the following confirmation:

Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

Just to keep the postings straight - don't post any of the other logs from the other computers. Just the computer we are currently working on where I have asked for the DDS log
