Hi and thanks in advance. I am running XP home edition version 2002 service pack 3, IE8 and McAfee firewall and antivirus.
When I click on a link in Google search results I am redirected to various sites but not the one I want.
I also had "Your system is infected! System has been stopped due to a serious malfunction. Spyware activity has been detected. It is recommended to use spyware removal tool to prevent data loss. Do not use the computer before all spyware removed." problem.
I followed some of your selfhelp advice and I ran LSPfix, ATF Cleaner and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and the desktop cleared up, the red X in the systray went away and so did the pop up with Your system is infected! System has been stopped due to a serious malfunction. Spyware activity has been detected. It is recommended to use spyware removal tool to prevent data loss.
However Google still redirects when I click on a Link. I have pasted the MBAM log and Hijack this log. This is my wife's computer and I am looking pretty stupid here so your help will be greatly appreciated.
