Hello Montijoar,
It's been a few days so I was just checking to see if you still needed assistance?
Your Uninstall List shows you still have some AOL items installed.
Please go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Add/ Remove Programs
Scroll Down and locate the following programs:
•AOL Uninstaller (Choose which Products to Remove)
•AOLIcon
•J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 8
•Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_03
Select each one of the programs, then select remove.
(if the program is not listed don't be alarmed, just continue with the list)
Exit the Control Panel when finished.

•New HijackThis log
•ESET log.txt
•Also tell me how your computer is running at the moment.
The aol unistaller will not uninstall but instead wants to be used as an agent to uninstall other aol products whenever I click 'change/remove' on it. However it also doesn't show any products to uninstall when I click to search computer for other aol products. Aol icon is not listed in programs list. I thought that my computer was working fine until I tried to do the scan you told me. I normally use firefox but this scan will only work in explorer and thats when all the problems started. Internet explorer randomly needs to close, has errors and takes forever to load everything. After several tries I finally got the scan to complete before explorer had to close. Everything else on my computer seems to run just fine, so its obviously something to do with this program which i never use because it irritated me in the first place.

Simple and easy ways to keep your computer safe and secure on the Internet
Alternate Browsers - If you are currently using Internet Explorer you might want to consider changing over to Firefox.
Firefox is one of the most popular alternate browsers. - Mozilla Firefox
Update your AntiVirus Software - You are using Norton Internet Security as your anti virus software. It is imperative that you update your Antivirus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your antivirus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.
Use a Firewall - You are using Norton Internet Security as your firewall. I cannot stress how important it is that you keep the Firewall on your computer active at all times. Without a firewall your computer is susceptible to being hacked and taken over. I am very serious about this and see it happen almost every day with my clients. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. For a tutorial on Firewalls and a listing of some available ones see the link below:
Understanding and Using Firewalls
Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will add a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer
settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs. A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware
IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that
aren't actually innocent at all. Using IE-SPYAD to help block unwanted sites and activities
Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly.
This will ensure your computer always has the latest security updates available installed on your computer.
If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.
Update all security programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs regularly.
Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
Remember to have only one (1) Firewall and one (1) Anti-Virus program running at any one time.
