Hi Boweevil,

I can't find any malware in the log. It does show several hardware/software errors in the Event logs. I think your issues would be best dealt with in our Hardware or Windows forums.

Also disabling the Telnet service added another error, so it would seem this computer is configured to use it.

After you are finished here, I suggest you start a new thread in one of the above forum. Include a link back to this thread so they can see what we have done.

Click your Start button, click run
  • copy and paste services.msc into the run box and click OK
  • When the Services window opens, please locate this service Telnet
  • right click it and select properties
  • in the Startup type box use the dropdown menu to set it to Automatic
  • click apply, click OK
  • Close the Services window.

Now we will remove our tools

From your desktop, please delete
  • any notepads/logs that we created
  • Rooter.exe
  • SystemLook.exe
  • DDS.scr

In windows explorer, please delete this folder
c:\Rooter$

Click the Start button, click Run. Copy and paste the following line into the run box and click OK
Combofix /u

Open OTListIt2 then click the Clean Up button. You may get prompted by your firewall that OTListIt wants to contact the internet - allow this. A cleanup.txt will be downloaded, a message dialog will ask you if you want to proceed with the cleanup process, click Yes. This will do some clean up tasks and delete some of the tools you have downloaded plus itself.

I suggest you keep ATF and MBAM. Keep MBAM updated and use it regularly.
