Hey everyone.
Heres my story. The other day I went onto facebook and through some inderect downloads recieved a viurs. This particular one set up a bunch of random site cookies on my computer preventing from going on any site other than the one it wants me to go to. These sites include engines like getsearch0303 and some weird "findhunter" one. With that I also recieve the constant spyware pop-up telling me I need to download spyware along with other annoying advertisements. My computer speed has also dramatically slowed down. If theres ANYONE that can help me with this I would be in your debt :notworthy:

Here is my Hijack log, I already have ComboFix and Malware installed for future refrences.
Thank You!
EDIT: I've had to resort to using my laptop from now, seems this trojan (or whatever it is) has a mind of its own and has decided that everything including google is a threat and won't let me go on it. Im completely baffled about what to do at this point. Sorry for being so inpatient but looks like youre my last resort unless I bring it to a computer shop. Once again thank you and any help would be greatly admired.

Hi,

Please do the following

(delete the Combofix you downloaded previously, updates are made to the program often and we need the most up to date version)

First:

Download Rooter.exe to your desktop

  • Doubleclick it to start the tool
  • A Notepad file containing the report will open, also found at %systemdrive%\Rooter.txt (Where %systemdrive% is usually C: or the drive that you have installed Windows).
  • Post that in your next reply.

Second:

Please download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.
  • You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.
Double click on SDFix.exe. It should automatically extract a folder called SDFix to your system drive (usually C:\).
Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key repeatedly;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual user account.
  • Open the SDFix folder and double click on RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y and press Enter to begin the script.
  • It will start cleaning your PC and then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any key to restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer than normal to restart as the fixtool will be removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished.
  • Press any key to end the script and to load your desktop icons.
  • A text file should automatically open, so please copy the contents and post them here.

Finally:

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:
Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

VERY IMPORTANT !!!
Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

* IMPORTANT - Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link here
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

[external image: Posted Image]

  • Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

[external image: Posted Image]
  • Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.
Notes:
1. Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
2. Do not "re-run" Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
3. ComboFix may reset a number of Internet Explorer's settings, including making I-E the default browser.
4. Combofix prevents autorun of ALL CD, floppy and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you – please advise.
5. CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

In your next reply I need:

  • Rooter log
  • SDFix log
  • ComboFixLog
  • Fresh HJT Log
Sorry it took so long to respond, but thanks a lot for responding! :D
Here are my logs in order
1. Rooter log
2. SDFix log
3. ComboFixLog
4. Fresh HJT Log

Hi

Please do the following:

  • Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before following the steps below.
  • They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
Copy/paste the text inside the Codebox below into notepad:

Here's how to do that:
Click Start > Run type Notepad click OK.
This will open an empty notepad file:

Copy all the text inside of the code box - Press Ctrl+C (or right click on the highlighted section and choose 'copy')

Collect::
c:\windows\system32\MRT.INI
C:\pch.bat
c:\windows\t55ft2772f44.dat
c:\windows\t55ft2831f44.dat
c:\windows\freddy41.exe
c:\windows\9g2234wesdf3dfgjf23
c:\windows\mstre16.exe
c:\windows\t55ft2830f44.dat
c:\windows\msmark2.dat
c:\windows\t55ft2803f44.dat
c:\windows\f23567.dat
c:\windows\system32\tiyunike.exe
c:\windows\system32\yivozizi.exe
c:\windows\system32\bufezeza.dll.tmp
c:\documents and settings\Me\Application Data\Google\pfysw721318.exe
C:\windows\mstre17.exe
c:\windows\sysguard.exe

Registry::
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{63ea380b-276d-11de-a800-003018a7956f}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"realteczs"=-
"sysmstray"=-
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"system tool"=-

Now paste the copied text into the open notepad - press CTRL+V (or right click and choose 'paste')

Save this file to your desktop, Save this as "CFScript"

Here's how to do that:

1.Click File;
2.Click Save As… Change the directory to your desktop;
3.Change the Save as type to "All Files";
4.Type in the file name: CFScript
5.Click Save …

[external image: Posted Image]

* Referring to the screenshot above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe.
* ComboFix will now run a scan on your system. It may reboot your system when it finishes. This is normal.
* When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
* Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

CAUTION: Do not mouse-click ComboFix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

NOTE: CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.
Hey,
I ran combofix with the proper script and it turned out fine. Im beginning to get my computer back. My only major problem right now is that I cant connect to the internet using Internet Explorer. My online programs run fine like MSN messanger etc but I can even connect to google on the browser. Any ideas?
Here is the new combo fix log,
-Thank you!

Hi,

While I am analysing the log there are a couple of things to do to try and get your connection back with IE:

Try these things one by one see if you can reconnect after each one.

Let me know how you get on and which one (hopefully) did the trick.

First:

Make sure your firewall is not blocking the connection

Next:

Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key
Copy/Paste: ipconfig /flushdns
Tap Enter
If you are typing this in, note the space between the g /f
It needs to be there.

Next type in: ipconfig /release
Tap Enter

Next type in: ipconfig /renew
Tap Enter

Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Note: Do this for all Network Connections
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks

NEXT::

For these commands press Start, > Run, type CMD, press OK to open a command prompt.

To reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: type: netsh winsock reset catalog at the command prompt > enter

then to reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. type netsh int ip reset reset.log at the command prompt > exit

Reboot the machine.

NEXT

1. Open IE7>> Tools>> Internet Options
2. Click the Connections tab
3. Click to highlight the first entry under Dialup and Virtual Private Networks settings, then click the Settings button.
4. Place a checkmark in the Automatically detect settings checkbox, then click OK.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all listed Dialup and Virtual Private Networks
6. With the Connections tab still selected, click the LAN Settings button.
7. Place a checkmark in the Automatically detect settings checkbox, then click OK.
8. Close IE7 and restart the browser.

Hopefully now you will be able to access the internet.

if you are still unable, as a temporary fix from another computer download firefox to a USB and transfer it over and install

hopefully the problem is with IE. and we can work on fixing the problem once the malware is totally cleaned.
Alright so I tried all the things listed above. Unfortunately none of them work. Even firefox gave me a message saying that im connected to a proxy server but the proxy server wont let me through. Another thing I found strange was for your step "1. Open IE7>> Tools>> Internet Options 2. Click the Connections tab 3. Click to highlight the first entry under Dialup and Virtual Private Networks settings, then click the Settings button." I have no entries underneath there, its blank so I have no settings to change. Do you have any other recommendations or scans I could preform? I mean like I said before I can use different online applications but my computer blocks me from surfing of browsing the internet.
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on Do a system scan only
  • Check the boxes next to ONLY the entries listed below (if still present):

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=localhost:7171

  • Close all windows except Hijackthis and click Fix Checked
  • Click Yes when prompted
  • Close HijackThis.

In I.E.

Check internet options settings.

Tools > Internet Options > Connections

LAN settings

Choose "automatically detect settings"

uncheck both proxy settings boxes
yes! :yeah:
the first step did it, you had to get rid of the local host and I actually got my internet back xD.
Thank you so much, my next option was to go get it reformatted or buy a new windows in order to start fresh.
You said something about malware in another post? did you need me to run antimalware or anything?
here is the new HJT log in case you think I should do anything else.

I knew something would work eventually:

There may be some leftovers remaining so please do the following:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <– very important
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
