Hello, I'm Demented Dolly and this is the first forum I've ever joined to try to get help like this, so as I'm sure you know I feel like the proverbial fish out of water. I just dont understand it all but thankfully there are those talented folks out there that do. I did a scan with AVG and got notification that I had a virut 56 infection. Okay, being as computer illiterate as I am my first thought was Oh No! How am I gonna fix something I know nothing about. So, after freaking for about 5 minutes as my world crashed down around me lol I decided to look up the infection and see what it was and/or what It did. Again, Oh No! was the first thought as I read over and over again that this infection can't be fixed, the only recourse is to reformat. Well, at that my reaction went from Oh No to Worse! I'm so Screwed! Again, lol after a small hallalujuah hissy, I returned to try to search out something that would tell me what to do about this new problem of reformatting , which in turn lead me here. I spent some time reading through threads and noticed there wasn't really anything specific to me so I decided to post a thread and give this a whirl.
