Outlook Express & Hijack This Won't Load

Hijack This will not load and the malware program malwarebytes link suggested won't use Win 98. Problem with Outlook Express 6 - says it could not be started as there was another instance running - log off and restart. I have Windows 98 update KB891711 installed. and more recent updates. Another forum said that KB891711 should be removed. I have free Zone Labs and only run AVG free anti-virus running unless another program is in in the background. I can't get OE to open even in safe mode. Have WIN 98 SE with only about 400 meg left on hard drive out of 10 gig. Have Outlook Express Q823353

Hi, This is a bit difficult to know where to start….. 1 If you need to run HJT or other similar programs ..then you need to post in the malware removal forum ( as you have done before) 2 Having said that you are not giving your system a chance if your free space on the hard drive is only 400 Mb…..time to get rid of some some stuff or at least transfer it to removable media. 3 It is difficult now to use Win 98 safely…as security updates have not been provided for some time and some anti-malware products will not run on Win98 …….. As soon as you have removed say IGB or so from your machine try posting in the malware removal forum. Regards paws
