Sorry about the distraction to Win98, I guess I jumped to an inaccurate conclusion when I read PIII.
I'm running an old PIII on Win98. so much for assumptions, once again.

hey Doug, I might have found what causes the crashes. It's actually more than the shares from comp to comp. Whenever I try to enter the router interface through my firefox it also crashes. I therefor think my router might be responsible. I'll call my ISP and ask them about andkeep you informed so the topic can move on. Nico
