Empty Recycle Bin Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

This is what I suggest you do.

Download CWShredder from my signature below. Unzip it on the desktop.
Open CWShredder and with ALL other windows closed, click fix.

Go here and run online scans (all), allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner
Panda ActiveScan
Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done.

Next:

Even if you've already run these, make SURE they're up-to-date and run per instructions.

Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot V 1.3 and Ad-aware SE Build 1.05 . All are free and available below.

Download Spybot, install and update. Then download Ad-aware, install, and update.

Spybot:

Install the program and launch it.

Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
Next click the button "Check for Problems"
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

Ad-Aware FULL SCAN:

Install the program and launch it.

First in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

From main window :Click Start then under Select a scan Mode check Perform full system scan.
Next deselect Search for negligible risk entries.
Now to scan just click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it.(Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and click Next)

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

Yahoo Browser now encounters errors and has to close frequentely. Started sometime yesterday I think. All windows freeze and won't respond. Then error message stating Yahoo Browser must close.

Run these two again. FxAgentB and about:Buster. double-click the FxAgentB file to run it and the program will scan your entire hard drive - this may take a while. When it is done, it will generate a log file called FxAgentB.log - save that information as you will need to paste it here later. Reboot when done. Important steps to getting this tool to work properly: First unzip all files from the zip folder to a folder or your desktop. Start it and hit ok. Then hit update. A new screen should popup. On that screen hit Check for Updates. If it says it found an update hit Download Updates. If it doesnt it will automatically tell you and exit. Now for the scanning part. Hit start and then Ok. The program should start scanning. Then hit exit and reboot. Once rebooted run about:Buster once more to make sure everything is ok. The database will be updated very frequently so check your versions once a day. Reboot when done, rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here, together with the FxAgentB log.

I use the search tool in my computer searching all hidden/protected all files and folders and search for any file with that in the file name. The only ones that I find are 2 (I think only 2) wild tangent files that will not delete. I forget the specific error message but something to do with not having the disk?

Download Find_It.zip:

Unzip its contents to its own folder
Open the folder and double click on Find.bat (File with a gear symbol)
Ignore any File not found messages
It runs for a minute, and produces a log
Please copy and paste the log on your next response.

Download VX2Finder(126).exe:

Save the program in its own folder.
Run VX2Finder(126).exe
Select: Click to Find VX2.Betterinternet
When the scan is done, select the Make Log
It will open the log in Notepad.
Copy and paste the log to on your response.

Also, download KillBox.zip from here:

Place it in a folder on your Desktop.
Do not run it yet.

Will wait for the Find_It log, and the VX2Finder log, as well as the new HijackThis log in your reply, since we need to have all the information as current as possible.

After providing the logs requested, please do not reboot or shutdown/restart the computer. Just leave it on. If you restart, any information provided may change, and we are back to square one.

Can you find this file?
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\sp.html If so, delete it.

To run the virus scan make sure you click the following

memory, registry, startup folders, system folders, services, drive (all drives will be added). It will not clean anything but will create a log in the lower box of the scanner. Please copy and paste that log here.

the virus log information box is empty, but there were 41 errors in the results list. I have that list but it is way too big to put in here I can cut/paste those on to here if you want.
