That may help but the majority of your errors are OS related so we may have more work to do. Let me know after uninstalling and the installing MSE how your system works then. Try doing whatever triggered the problem before to see if it happens again.

It does seem to be running faster since I got rid of Kapersky. I can't get it to crash. A lot of the time it has happened when the computer has been on and I have been away from it. Is there something else I can check to figure out why it may be crashing

It sounds like you have found your issue. Test it for a couple of days and see if it crashes when you leave it for awhile.

It finally did crash. It seems to happen when I am not using the computer for awhile. The other thing that was going that i may suspect is I open a network version of Quickbooks where data file is stored on anonther computer in local network. I had QB open and the company file open on the other computer. That connection aborted about a half an hour before crash.

Do you by chance have a OS installation disk?

The only disks I have are recovery media disks

OK the issue on the last error points to a system file that should be able to be corrected with a repair. The problem is the recovery media doesn't have the repair option on it. Can you borrow a installation disk of the same type that is installed on the system? Is your OS Win7 or XP?

It is windows 7 and I have a windows 7 X64 w/sp1 install disk from my hp laptop

OK the hp disk won't work Second you might want to update your profile because it says you have XP. Third the OS disk has to match what you have installed on the system now. You can't use the HP disk because it will load drivers for a HP and not your system since it is most likely a recovery disk for your HP.

SFC /Scannow Win7

Go HERE and read the tutorial that shows how to do SFC or System File Checker and running in a Elevated Command Prompt in Vista and Win7.
