I've just registered because the same has happened to me. Bought the keyboard on Thursday night, it worked fabulously and for me was the first keyboard I've used in ages that was the right style (no wrist rest to impede me, keys in the right place unlike Logitech ones). Easy to set up, literally just plug and play and with just a receiver to plug into the PC and no wired larger receiver to have on the desk.
But just now although the mouse continues to work, the keyboard stopped. I can't get any of the screws to loosen so cannot try fixing it via the membrane way, tried pressing all the keys and nothing responds. I've tried two sets of batteries apart from the ones already in the keyboard - the red light is on each time. Tried changing the channel in case it has lost connection but that does nothing.
Annoyed as I have not found another wireless keyboard this small, I'm a secretary so type 'properly' and no need for the wrist rest that seems to be permanently fitted to all keyboards these days. Luckily I bought it as an additional keyboard so could go back to the one I had before and continue working.
As I can't open it up, and the other methods described have not worked, it is going back to Currys tomorrow. I would ask for a replacement but having seen that others have the same problem can only deduce it will happen again with a replacement keyboard.
Okay, after browsing the net for other sites talking about this, someone mentioned a pairing issue. I had thought I had tried that, by pressing the connector on the receiver and then the one on the keyboard. But I did not press for long enough.
So if anyone else gets the problem, hold the connector button on the receiver down until the light goes off, then quickly press in the connector button on the keyboard (it's hiding under one of the legs at the top of the keyboard, the one where the function keys are), and hold down for at least two seconds (I pushed it with a biro tip). All came to life.

Just Like gmmas wrote above,
I opened up the keyboard by removing all the small screws on the back of the keyboard and removed the touch membranes and unscrewed the clamp and removed the flexible circuit board.
I did not find any thing that looked wrong.
I reassembled everything making sure all the loose hotkeys were correctly in place.
I replaced the batteries and the keyboard has worked ever since.
THANKS! IT WORKS!
I read you and did the same: I opened up the keyboard. I must say I don't know any about electronics. I reassembled everything, replaced the batteries and the keyboard has worked too!!!! That's all! Ô_Ô

I hope this is the right place for this topic...apologies in advance if it's not!
I have a Pcline WOD1 wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse worked straight away but the keyboard has not worked at all.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. When i troubleshoot it, my pc says 'this device is working properly'.
I previously had a wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse that worked perfectly for a year and then the keyboard also stopped working but the mouse was fine and i went back to the wired set up.
I've pressed the connect buttons on the USB receiver, the keyboard and the mouse in a variety of sequences but to no avail.
It seems that I can only use a wired keyboard!
I have a Windows Xp, 3ghz, Dell with Service Pack 3.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to resolve this, I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you!

I have the MS 800 keyboard and it stopped working. I did as many others have done here in this thread. Opened the keyboard completely, reassembled completely, and it worked... I personally think it is the connector from battery to the board that got corroded a little.
Small hint: On my keyboard one of the screws is hidden under the safety label. Run the screwdriver across the label until you feel a small bump, then push through to get to it. Also there are two smaller screws in the battery bay which also must come out.
This fix takes less than 5 minutes and anyone who knows which end of a screwdriver to use can do this.

H ibrOOkse, and welcome to the WTT forums.
Have a look at each post in this topic ( starting at the beginning) and see if the fixes that folks have posted do the trick for you.
You should try each fix and rebooting your machine each time and then testing to see if it works, if it doesn't then move on to the next fix.

I did the same thing that one other person did on this forum...and I am a nurse who worked in IT for about 1 year....just enough to be dangerous. on this microsoft wireless keyboard 2000....that just quit working out of the blue....and I really tried to download drivers etc... because I bought a new surface 4 but saw that it should have been compatible. I had not used the keyboard for more than a week at my other job, therefore I am not so sure where all of the crumbs came from....I never eat at my desk! and I always sanitize my fingers....job hazard. I was going to pitch it and just resolve to spend 129$ to buy a surface keyboard. but no, I am stubborn and thought I could fix this...why not....I have dealt with open fractures, bullets in a patients' chest, etc.... why not fix a keyboard? and I did. here is my story.
so I figured out where all of the hidden screws were on the keyboard.....you have to look under the two little rubber stoppers on the bottom (corners) and also the microsoft label has one hidden under it...you dont have to remove it, just feel around for something odd but ROUND..there is something also square under there but I found the round one and sure enough, it was the screw.....and the battery compartment......I borrowed a couple of small, but not too small (heeding my husbands warning), screwdrivers and went to work. I ended up taking every single key off, and cleaned, and saw that the tray was grossly crumbed-up (technical word?). ok, who was eating while they were putting this darn thing together? wasnt this supposed to be like surgery?
several of the large keys have metal wires that hold them down...these were gooped up (another very technical term) with petroleum jelly....also grossly crumbed-up.after all of that work, I had to pull the top HOUSE TO SPEAKER thingy up (it is separate....and contains SEVERAL screws BTW)..... apart. I found the inner boards that had rubber mats covering their sensitive parts ...I left them on until I saw that the little green board in the corner had a word that said "BARCODE" (pay attention to this)..... and the barcode was MIA. I noted this and moved on.
I unscrewed the green board carefully...then took off the "clothes...." or, the rubber coverings over the board parts (mother board?)......and with another brand new glass cleaner cloth (no, not the ones that are pre-lubed with lens cleaner either...just the dry cloth).....I pulled the rubber covers out and ran the cloth over them. Then I got yet another brand new cloth (I had a few from sunglass and glass cases from a recent visit to the optometrist....thank god for that, eh?)...... I pulled up the actual boards sans rubber covers WITH my military white gloves ON....and inspected...the BARCODE was stuck to this!!!!! talk about made in another country other than the USA..... so I pulled this off. It was actually sticky, and with some clear plastic over it....like a wrapper..... I carefully and gently...almost surgically....removed the barcode sticky label and inspected for sticky residue. than ran the cloth carefully over these boards and replaced. I had set the rubber coverings down also on an extremely clean surface from that mother board thing. I screwed back in the little green board. replaced the cover, keys and especially cleaned the crumbed up goopy keys with the metal thingy's with jelly attached which were crumbed up. I have plugged in my little usb device and voila.....its working again! problem solved. who says a nurse is not good with her hands? actually I have to thank my hubby as he builds high rise XXXX's for a living and I have gone on many jobs during disasters with him and watch as he managed electrical boards......he taught me a little bit about how to get things unscrewed in order to keep track of everything you undo. thank heavens for this man of mine. and my one year in the IT department. RIP to my old CIO.
and p.s.....if it didnt work...the dayam thing was going in the trash!

well done and like you say it was going in the bin anyway so why not dismantle and clean to see if that fixed things, and of course it did, so good job and money saved.
