Hi, My laptop (Windows XP) got problem connecting to any web site. - Both IE and Firefox cannot display any web site, the page keeps loading without displaying any content nor error codes. - All applications (e.g. MSN, AVG Anti-Virus etc.) have problems in connecting to their servers. The internet connection is proved ok. - "ping" the web sites got successful results. - Using safe mode, the web sites can be displayed successfully. Please advise what I should check. Thanks. ~Jaime

When problems accessing security utility websites occur I begin thinking "malware infection".
(some malware attempts to prevent the owner/user from updating and accessing antivirus sites, to protect itself)

Strongly consider posting a HJT Log over in our Malware Removal Forum for a checkup.
