my computer has several things going wrong- my mouse arrow keeps jumping all over the screen, firefox has crashed twice and closed down to protect itself. i have several messages a day saying error page when i try to open web pages. the protection i have is windows defender, the windows firewall which i've just read on one of your forums is less than successful. i'm about to download jetico personal firewall v1
i have AVG 8.0, normally free version but on a one month trial full version at the moment,
spybot search and destroy,
spyware blaster
superantispyware free edition
hijack this
Ccleaner- used regularly
auslogics disk defrag- which tells me i'm not optimized after each defrag, is this just to get me to buy the full product i wonder??
ad aware, which i'm a little dubious about
combo-fix which i haven't used yet as reports are varied as with ad aware.
what can i do i have sent hi-jack reports to various help sites and done what has been suggested but nothing has helped for long.
POSSIBLE INFECTIONS
adware.vundo variant-MSfake ( i've read this is very bad) was found by superantispyware on 22/01/09 and quarantined - as were adware tracking cookies 24/10/08 and again on 25/11/08.
MyWay.MyWebSearch 49 items found by spybot 16/12/08
and the new version of Avg {which i upgraded to because the free version was not able to download uploads ( because of infection????) } has found tracking cookie.Cqcounter on the 05/02/08 and again the following day.
i have also done a broadband speed test- the results are very bad for downloading from UK with acceptable results for downloading from the USA. could an infection be blocking that too or is that just my server restricting access. i'm with talktalk who joined forces with AOL
i would be so grateful for your help

ps i'm trying to load other pages while waiting for reply and all i'm getting is page load error………. saying not connected to internet and actually severs my connection
pps. as soon as i leave your site my internet connection starts again…
