It usually does that when you first startup and within a couple minutes it activates and all is OK.

Hmmm, ok. It's appearance wasn't what I would expect (bright yellow) and when I'd right click and check Symantec autoprotect was not disabled that's why I made me concerned. Thanks for letting me know and thank you again for your time and assistance.
