[Closed] virus that starts with v

was getting pop ups on computer ran 360 said i had a virus that started with V vol something fixed it came back. went to live update site and downloaded fix now i get dll not a valid windows image errors check against installation disk error messages on many programs i can't access the internet on that computer the computer acts like its trying to work but more dll msgs keep popping up and i get program not responding messages

Welcome to WTT.

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop. Transfer it to the infected computer's desktop, preferably with a CD.

• Disable any script blocking protection
• Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
• When done, DDS.txt will open.
• Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
• Save both reports to your desktop.

Please include the contents of the following in your next reply:

• DDS.txt
• Attach.txt

Download Rooter.exe to your desktop, and transfer it too.

• Doubleclick it to start the tool
• A Notepad file containing the report will open, also found at %systemdrive%\Rooter.txt (Where %systemdrive% is usually C: or the drive that you have installed Windows). Post that in your next reply.

You will need to transfer the reports back to the connected computer, again, preferably by CD, or you could try Safe Mode with Networking. To do this, restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode With Networking.
