[Resolved] That stupid AntiVirus 2008 thing

My virus problem started with Antivirus 2008. I've used everything from Mcafee to Malwarebytes to Ad-Aware to SUPERAntispyware. The computer looks clean and none of the programs are finding anything currently except for Malwarebytes. EVERY time i run it, it finds the same two files:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\minibugtransporter.minibugtransporterx.1
and
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\minibugtransporter.minibugtransporterx
I remove them and even if I run the program directly afterwards, it finds those two programs again.
Also since the virus hit, a weird red icon shows up at the bottom of the screen, where the programs are, called SprtClientInterface. I exit it and I've tried to find the program to delete it but it seems almost non-existant.
The computer is running normally again, I'm just concerned about the magical reappearing files
PLEASE HELP
I also just tried to uninstall my version of Java to put the newer one on and was told that a fatal error occured during installation and it wouldn't let me continue

As a sidenote, McAfee is running but if I try to run Scan, it just pops me back to Protection Status

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop
- Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools
- See this Link for programs that need to be disabled and instruction on how to disable them.
- Remember to re-enable them when we're done.
- Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
- As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
- Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Good Morning,
Good Job
A couple of points to go over.
I see RegCure installed, I have been around computers since Windows 3.1 and have never had any use for Registry Cleaners and the forums do not recommend them, even the known legit ones at times can remove the wrong entry or entries. If it runs ok and removes things you will not see a difference in performance, if it runs and removes the wrong entry you can disable your system , I would uninstall it via the Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
You need to update your Java
You also need to update your Operating System
You need to install Service Pack 3, open IE and go to Tools> Windows Updates and install any Critical Updates , then make sure you install Service Pack 3.
Everything else looks fine
How are things running now??

You need to update your Java
- Your Java is out of date and leaving your system vulnerable.
- Go to your Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall any previous versions of Java (J2SE Runtime Environment)
- It should have an icon next to it:
[external image: Posted Image]
Select it and click Remove. - Reboot your system.
- Then go to the Sun Microsystems and install the update
- Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 10 <–This is what you need to download and install.
- If you chose the online installation, it will prompt you to run the program.
- If you chose the offline installation, you will be prompted to save the file and you can run it from wherever you saved it.
- Then after install you can verify your installation here Sun Java Verify
You also need to update your Operating System
You need to install Service Pack 3, open IE and go to Tools> Windows Updates and install any Critical Updates , then make sure you install Service Pack 3.

Hey,
Download the file to your desktop and then boot to safemode to install it.
To Enter Safemode

I don't have any problems installing the new version of Java but if I try to uninstall the old version from Add/Remove Programs, it just tells me that there's a fatal error and when I went in to safe mode to try to uninstall it said it couldn't because either it was in safe mode or because there was something wrong with the installer. Also there's a few random programs that post-virus have reverted to an icon that looks like the program isn't there anymore and when I try to run it, the program can't be found. I don't know if this is just left over stuff or if there is still something in there that hasn't been found

Hello,
Just leave the older version of Java there, its just more clutter than anything and won't hurt. The icons that have changed means that the program is most likely not there anymore, if the icon has a little arrow on it than its just a shortcut to the program and can be deleted. You sound like you have some windows issues on this system, as we just do malware removal in this forum I am linking you to our other forum for windows problems and they can help you sort it all out.

Keep in mind if you install some of these programs. Only ONE Anti Virus and only ONE Firewall is recommended, more is overkill and can cause you problems. You can install all the Spyware programs I have listed without any problems. If you install Spyware Blaster, you can still install Spybot Search and Destroy but do not enable the TeaTimer in Spybot.
Here are some free programs to install, all free and highly regarded by the fine people in the Malware Removal Community
- Spybot Search and Destroy 1.6
Check for Updates/ Immunize and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis. If you install Spyware Blaster ( Recommended ) then do not enable the TeaTimer in Spybot Search and Destroy.
- Spyware Blaster It will prevent most spyware from ever being installed. No scan to run, just update about once a week and enable all protection.
- Spyware Guard It offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts, again, no scan to run, just install it and let it do its thing.
- IE-Spyad
IE-Spyad places over 6000 web sites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
- Firefox 3 It has more features and is a lot more secure than IE. It is a very easy and painless download and install, it will no way interfere with IE, you can use them both.
