Using Internet Explorer, Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

LD - here is the requested scan report. It took a really long time since the office here is still on dial-up. I had to first download the right Java Application, then the Kaspersky download took over two hours. The report seems to say there is no infection. I'm thinking that I might possibly have to go to the SpyBot site and do individual downloads of certain updates to get rid of the error messages that SpyBot is giving me?? Anyway, here is the Kaspersky report; by the way, can I use the Kaspersky on-line scan instead of having AVG Antivirus? Or is the Kaspersky a one-time only thing?

So everything is working OK except the spybot errors?
gtbase
Actually, yes it does. So now what kind of things can I get rid of that are on the desktop and that have been downloaded; are any of my clean-out programs useless; and can I use any of the things you told me to download in the future instead of what I have?
LDTate
First we need to do this:
This will create a new restore point, re-hide the system files and remove the bad guys it found.

- Click START then RUN
- Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

Next:
I would uninstall SpyBot and download / install fresh.
1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove if listed:
SpyBot
Download / install SpyBot.
Note: There's a link in my signature below for SpyBot S&D.
I would keep ATF Cleaner and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) and run them once a week.
gtbase
Combofix /u was run (which uninstalled it). Spybot S & D downloading right now - gonna be awhile. FYI the SB S & D link didn't work, gave me the "server cannot be found" IE error message - tried it twice. I went to cnet download.com. Am I to post a HJT log after the Spybot download?

Removed and then Downloaded SpyBot and also the latest updates; I Immunized as the program suggested and then I ran a complete scan as soon as it was done. Note that when I hit the immunize button it told me that there were 800+ temporary files and that it would run faster if I let SB get rid of them. I allowed it. Then a window flashed too quickly for me to read any more than a notice that some files were in use, but I couldn't catch how many. I had no other programs or files running, but I didn't shut down anything that is on the run from start-up list either. That being said, SpyBot found only one thing, but it was in red, and it was "RightMedia", which is one of the ones that was found before. It says it fixes it, but I suspect it is attached to something that starts up either with windows or IE?? Although I don't understand the HJT log, there are some things I recognize on there and I can tell you if I do or don't use in case you want me to get rid of anything.
Anything associated with "My Space" can be deleted.
MapGuide and anything with "irth" or "dig safely - I need.
Kodak Gallery - don't need
Camera Control; Catcam - don't need
DiskKeeper is the program that does my Defrag (it was put in by the computer rep that replaced my processor a few years back - when he put that in, the Microsoft defrag that is normally under "Accessories/System" was gone.
Beyond these, everything else is either highly recognizable (Grisoft AVG, Monitor, Google…) or I don't know what it is. Hope this information helps. Here is the HJT log:

I did as you suggested. Two of the 016 items - IRTHMapDisplay and Autodesk Map (both irth.digsafelynewyork sites) are items that I had mentioned that I need here at the office. (when we excavate we have to submit a locate request for utilities) I checked them anyway because I trust your judgement. I can re-download the items; it just takes a really long time, and I can't do the locate requests without them.

The 016's are activeX types and will show back up if you visit that site again.
How's it running?
gtbase
I ran a SpyBot scan before checking into here this morning, and it once again found "Right Media"
I did not have Spybot set to go automatically however, so it was run AFTER my start-up. When SpyBot was done and I check "fix"and it said that it fixed it. I than ran the Malwarebytes and nothing was found. Do I need to do a disk clean-up or something? Is that "RightMedia" being put in a trash folder somewhere that isn't getting dumped? Do I need to run any of the scan programs in Safe Mode to get rid of "Right Media" once and for all?
Other than that one thing showing up, things are running fine, I don't notice that anything is too slow (except my dial-up…LOL) and I haven't come across anything missing that I need yet.

Where does it show that it's located?it once again found "Right Media"
gtbase
I went to the reports log of SB and it said this: Right Media: Tracking cookie (Internet Explorer: Doris) (Cookie, fixed)
After I posted my reply this morning, I ran ATF, and MalwareBytes. I then shut down the computer and restarted. As soon as it booted up, I ran Spybot. It found nothing. I wanted to see if connecting to the internet changed anything, so I connected and than ran Spybot once again. Again, it found nothing. So I guess it's gone. It would appear that everything is clear now.
Can I set "SunJava" to not try to start my internet on it's own? It keeps popping my connection window open and I have to cancel it. I can't have internet on all the time, it shares the fax line. The Java program downloaded when I downloaded ComboFix, so I haven't had a chance to find it's settings.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a checkmark/tick in the box on the left side on these:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jusched.exe"
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [swg] C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe
Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"
BTW, whenever you go to the internet you're going to get cookies. Most are required by the website and harmless.
If you keep ATF cleaner and run it once a week, that should take care of it. Be sure to run it under each users login.
