A friend of mine brought his computer over because he had a virus. It turned out to be Virtumonde. I got rid of that, but when he got the virus he said he could no longer access webpages anymore. I fiddled around with it and it appears that he can't ree DNS anymore. I can access files on my local network, I can ping everything on my network, and I can ping computers on the internet if I ping the IP address but not the domain name.
So is this a known side effect of Virtumonde? If so, does anyone know how to fix it? I am including his Hijackthis log as well just in case I missed something when I got rid of the virus.

hi, log looks ok as far as i can tell but i would rely more on what my AV/anti-malware tell me. no its not a side effect of virtumondo. malware wants connectivity. if you type in at a prompt: go to start>run and type in cmd click ok at the cursor type in ipconfig /all click enter note; there is a space after the g and before the / you should see a line that says: DHCP……………………enabled if it says "no" we can check some settings
