[Closed] my new T61 infected with virus :( help pls

hello. let me just start off by saying that I have been trying to fix my comp for the past two days but i guess i'm too illiterate. My friend used torrents to download this album he wanted to burn, and as a consequence, I found out I got a virus. What would happen is, is that my laptop would automatically turn off every time i turn the computer on. It goes to the windows login screen, then shuts off. If I go in safe mode, everything works like a dream, except its safemode. So I believe the virus has affected my windows registry or windows executes/calls for the script/virus everytime I boot winxp in normal boot. I will list HJT result first, followed by the startuplist txt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Under Main choose: Select All

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

HERE

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
post a new scanner[HJT] log and the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware log

Be sure not to delete anything intill said ok to. also don't run any other cleanup programs till we
get done it may goof ours up.

hello and thanks alot for reading over my logs and helping me out.
I have followed the procedures you have listed above. The first section I have pasted is from the malwarebytes' anti-malware 1.29, followed by the HJT logfile.
I have not yet tried to restart in normal mode and try. The only thing that the anti-malware program detected was some random file on my desktop, and nothing else. So i went ahead and deleted that file (which i doubt fixed my problem). Please let me know ASAP what to do next. Thanks alot for helping!

FIRST:

Download this file from the link to your desktop.

HERE:

Right-click on the deldomains.inf file and select 'Install'

Once it is finished your Zones should be reset.

Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE/Spyads, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE/Spyads, run the batch file and reinstall the protection

Viewpoint Manager is used by various products of Viewpoint Corporation and is responsible for managing and updating Viewpoint Media Player’s components. Viewpoint Manager will access the internet and check for updates periodically. If it detects an update, it will automatically download and install the change. You can disable this using the Viewpoint Manager Control Panel found in the Windows Control Panel menu. By selecting "Disable auto-updating for the Viewpoint Manager" – the player will no longer attempt to check for updates. Although, Viewpoint is not technically malware it is considered to be foistware since it is often installed without a user's knowledge or approval.

to remove it, please follow the following steps:

Go to Start > Run and copy/paste or type: taskmgr
Under the Processes tab find the following tasks or processes:
ViewpointService.exe
ViewMgr.exe
Highlight and click "End Process".
Exit Task Manager.

Click on Start > Run and type: services.msc
Press "OK".
Click the "Extended tab".
Scroll down the list and find the service called "Viewpoint Manager Service"
When you find the service, double-click on it.
In the Properties Window > General Tab that opens, click the "Stop" button.
From the drop-down menu next to "Startup Type", click on "Disabled".
Now click "Apply", then "OK" and close any open windows.

Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > highlight and remove all references to Viewpoint - i.e. Viewpoint, Viewpoint Manager, Viewpoint Media Player.

Finally, delete the following folders in RED if they still exist:
C:\Program Files\ViewManager\ <– and delete this folder
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\ \ <– and delete this folder

Run hijackthis again. Hit None of the above,
Click Do a System Scan Only.
