I run an Internet radio station and the computer I run the station on has been hit twice by something called "winback.exe" and some associated files/issues. I'm hoping y'all can help me figure out how to clean my computer and keep it clean. The first time I "fixed" the problem by resetting my computer to it's factory condition, which did cure the problem. But since I've been infected again, I need to find a better solution. cheers.gnome
Hi and welcome to the WTT forums :welcome: There's lots to see here, so take a while to have a good look around. If you need anything, just ask. I see you have posted an HJT log over in the malware removal forum, so it's just a question of waiting until a trained malware fighter has analysed your log and identified the good items and (if any) the bad….. They will then respond when the analysis and remedial actions have been determined, and when they have worked out the initial fixes, and will provide step by step instructions that are personal to your individual machine. Often the number of folks who are in trouble with their machines exceeds the number of expert malware fighters available, so if you can, try to be patient (although I know this is easier said than done!) However do resist the temptation to add another post to your topic in malware removal as the experts there, look first for posts with zero responses. Regards paws
