Hi guyz my pc is running very slow, spyware thing is fine i believe but when i run something heavy work on my pc the cpu usage never goes above 54% and jerks alot, i can hear this jerking in audio also running during that load, i just realized i cannot run chkdsk volume:/c also. My OS is XP SP2, 1GBRAM 3.4Ghz Intel. Please help 3.4 processor looks like PIII or older may be
That would be: chkdsk c:

But before running chkdsk, you might want to delete the clutter from your hard drives using Drive Cleaner or crud cleaner of your choice.

How much free disk space?

What did you scan for malware with? I recommend supplemental scanning with Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware (MBAM) just to be sure.

Make sure the insides are clean of heat trapping dust and dirt, all fans are spinning properly, and your temperatures are fine.
oh thankx.. your command worked. It checked through 3 stages and found no prb, so what i should do. My pc still stucks every second during load and apparently i just see CPU usage stucked at 54% during that time. Please help me out with this prb. My HDD temp is 49C right now and its not that much dirty from inside. And yes i used \Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware to clear off some files. I have around 18GB free in C: and more than 5GB in other drives.
Well, sorry, I might have led you a bit astray. I should have said to use:

chkdsk c: /r

If you did not use the switch /r or /f, then chkdsk only looked for errors and did not fix them. You should run chkdsk again but with the /r switch. To see what each switch does, you can enter chkdsk /?.

If your page file is on the disk with 18Gb free, it is probably okay. If the PF is on one of the other drives, it may be part of the problem. If you never changed, it is on C.

The below are all enhanced Task Manager type programs that will show you what is running on your computer. Use one of these to make sure nothing strange is running and eating up resources. Each is nice in its own way. What's Running is probably the easiest, with AutoRuns for the more experienced, and Process Explorer the most popular. With these, for example, you can see what processes are using each of those various svchost.exe images.

You might also check the maker's site for updated audio drivers.
prb sovled: few days back i just formatted hard drive and installed new copy of windows, this particular prb was solved. Thankyou Digerati.
Glad you solved it, however 54% PCU usage is a lot. Before fixing the problem I wish you could of found out what program(s) were causing it to be so high. It's possible it could happen again.
