Lately when browsing theinternet (firefox and IE), new windows to antivirus sites have been openeing and popups prompting me to scan for viruses. ALso windows explorer keeps stopping at irregular intervals.
I am running windows Vista.
I have done the following to fix these issues:
- run ATF Cleaner
- Done scan with ad-aware
- run spybot s&D - found virtumond and others and delted them
- run spybot s&D in safemode and found virtumond and deleted it again
- run vundofix, no files found
I have also done a full system scan with mcafee, which didnt find anything.
I am still getting the popups in my internet browsers and windows explorer keeps crashing.
