….CPU usage? (Didn't realize my topic got cut off) (I'm copying this off system properties so I hope this is the right info) HP Pavilion Windows XP AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+ 986 MHz, 1.00 GB RAM I like to watch things on Netflix Instant Viewing while I use MSWorks to type up class notes. MSWorks eats up a lot of memory as it is and when both are running, the CPU usage is 100%. This causes a little sluggishness with browsing and Netflix (picture freezes for a few seconds then catches up to audio) but the main problem is with MSWorks. Every couple of minutes while I'm typing, it lags. Sometimes if I haven't written too much everything will show up a few seconds later. But if I'm typing fast and don't notice right away, only the beginning and the end of the sentence show up. It makes typing anything take forever! I'm not sure if this is related to the problem but sometimes I'll use MSpaint to recreate the diagrams from my written notes to insert into the document. After I close out MSPaint, or even if I open up the document at a later time - I'll get a bunch of MSPaints running in Processes. Closing them has no effect on the document but it doesn't lower CPU usage either. I've followed the tips on here for improving slow performance (although I still think I have some unnecessary processes running) anything else I could try or is this just to be expected from running two big processes at once? :(
