This is my first time on WTT, so pardon me if I'm not posting this correctly. I'm a little frustrated with my systme right now. Any help is welcome. My system is running slow and I'm trying to clean and delete files I don't need. I found lxbm_devise in my startup file. What is it, and do I need it? Can I delete or disable it? Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Hmmk50

lxbm_device is used for printers, and is a harmless entry. You shouldn't delete it, merely disable it from starting up, that is unless you need it for a printer :)

Is this slow behaviour something which have accumulated over a period of time, or did it happen suddenly?

If you are in doubt regarding how the settings should / can be for various services, I'll recommend reading here: BlackViper.com

And some good info regarding slow computer's: LINK

If you need additional info or have other questions just ask away.

And of course

:welcome:
