Hi, trying to resolve a friend's PC issues. I have already removed Micro Billing systems infection using BFU.

I have run ATF Cleaner, CCleaner, Spybot, Ad-Aware, AVG Anti-Spyware, AVG Anti-virus. I have now installed SpywareBlaster and Comodo Firewall.

On last AVG Anti-Spyware run I got issue relating to Virkel.A Trojan.

I have run HJT log and is listed below.

Many Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately a backdoor infection renders the PC beyond help - once such an exploit has been established there's no way of knowing the effect on the computer. Legitimate files may have been replaced or infected and security settings lowered making reinfection more likely. There is also a risk of identity theft via a keylogger if the computer has been used to access accounts or enter card details during online shopping which means your friend will need to monitor for signs of this with his/her bank. Your comment regarding Comodo suggests that there wasn't a third-party firewall onboard which means that anything that wanted to phone home could do so without any problems. The ability to access the PC as if an individual was sat at the keyboard means that it is impossible to trust the validity of the system until it has been reformatted and the OS reinstalled, and this is what I would do if the PC was mine.
