I have several machines exhibiting random 100% CPU cycles as well as excessive page file usage on average of 1.24gb. Running Process Monitor, I have identified LSASS.exe and Csrss.exe (in the correct location) as two windows files recieving buffer overflow errors. The high PC resource utilization problem occurs every 3 to 10 days while the buffer overflow errors are consistent daily but do not always seem to cause an issue. McAfee has been looking at some Process Monitor logs for over a week and I have performed a full command line virus scan with no positive results. Performing sfc /scannow and the Microsoft KB Article 927891 did not resolve the issue and I am running out of options. I feel I am missing something elementary....
