I cant seem to figure out how to log in as admin?? I have Vista and I cant figure it out. I ran Hijackthis as "run as admin" when I right click on the file on my desktop. I ran it and the option you said to delete wasn't there???

I've switched to Mozilla Firefox, not sure if its a safer browser, but seems to be recommended as various sites. What are your thoughts on this???

Also, can you tell me a little about what this problem is??? Should I be concerned about security, online banking, etc????

Here is the latest LOG from Hijackthis:

1.

I ran it and the option you said to delete wasn't there???

Good, that was the only possible problem.

2.

I've switched to Mozilla Firefox

That is a good move. In most circles, FireFox is considered a safer a browser. I use FF myself.

3.

Should I be concerned about security, online banking, etc????

If that had been a possibility, that would have been the first thing that I would have mentioned to you, believe me. That is a bit of adware that pops up occasionally undoubtedly due to an ActiveX that you download that appears benign that you click on without knowing its true purpose. Just continue using FF and do not agree to any downloads unless you are perfectly sure what they do.

Regards,

Trevuren
Ok. I'll continue using FF. FF altogether seems to be quicker already. Thanks for your help. I'll keep an eye for any suspicious activity and post and additional problems I have in the future. Is this thread open for a few weeks if i need to post anything??? Thanks again!!!
